Welcome to "3D Printing Dissected: Building the Future, Layer by Layer," where students dive into the fascinating world of 3D printing over 6 weeks! 🌟 From mechanical design to material science, each class is highly interactive and hands-on, allowing students to create 3D objects that we’ll print and mail to their homes. 💡 The most engaged and active student in each class wins $5, with up to $25 per week and $150 for the entire course. 💸
In Week 1, we explore what 3D printers are and the main types, from Cartesian to Resin printers. Week 2 dives into the hotend assembly and LCD screens for resin printers. Week 3 focuses on the motherboards of different printers and a comprehensive review. Week 4 is all about sourcing and creating 3D models with SculptGL. In Week 5, we discuss filaments, resins, and slicing software. Finally, Week 6 covers the business of 3D printing and concludes with a showcase of students’ creations. 🏆
